Dottie lived next door to us, welcomed us to the neighbor, loved our three kids as they were her own always concerned that we were doing ok and needed anything. She kept her house and yard like something out of good housekeeping.She was such caring, loving,and elegant lady who we all respected and admired very deeply it is so sad seeing her passing but I am sure she has God by the tail in making sure heaven has plenty of flowers. Much love we will miss you.

I first met Dottie while working at Marine Midland Bank. She was a favorite of everyone. Joyce Thorpe and I would take Dottie to dinner and/or shopping a couple of times a year or just for a ride until she reached the point it was too much for her. Then she would invite us to "The Court" to share a meal or snacks or we would bring a meal with us. She had many wonderful stories of her life in Watkins Glen and she remembered everything. Dottie always had a kind word for everyone and I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. She loved to talk about "her Henry" who was the love of her life. She truly was a Grand Lady!

"Aunt Dottie" was quite the lady. I have known her since the early 70's when I was in the Marines. A friend of the family, yes. She treated us a her own. Loved our children. She was an inspiration to me and I would seek her wisdom. She had an open door policy to come and just talk out on the back porch. Great time, great lady.
