Bonnie and Keri,
Please accept my condolences and sympathies in regards to Fred's passing. He was an outstanding man, something I don't have to tell either of you.
Bonnie, I have fond memories of a special bus trip out to Ohio, as well as time with Choral Society I believe.
Hope your memories with him will comfort you both, and know that he is "Home".
I had hoped to get up tonight to personally give you my condolences. I'm also unable to be at the church for his service. Will be thinking and praying for you both and the service. Cherie Bennett
Fred we’ve come a long ways! High school, study halls, family and friends. I am forever grateful for your care of our family members from Granny to Dad!
I hope you have everlasting peace and happiness. May God shine his everlasting light upon you. Miss you dear friend/family. Joyce Acker Tice
I am so very sorry for your loss Bonnie and Keri. Fred was such a wonderful member of the community and a friend to many. He was a man of comfort to those who lost their loved ones and such a gentle and kind soul. Heartfelt condolences from my family to yours.
I grew up in Montour Falls and well remember the entire wonderful Scott family. Donnie and I were classmates, and I was saddened when he died a few years ago. My husband and I moved back to this area from Virginia in 2007 and bought a home in Big Flats. My beloved mother, Rose C. Tague, passed away in 1986 and had her ashes scattered over Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake. After moving back here, it suddenly dawned on me that there was nothing marking her presence here on earth or in Montour Falls. I contacted Fred and told him how embarrassed I was that we had never had a plot or a headstone set in her honor. He was very understanding and helped me locate a plot up above the falls in the Montour cemetery. With his further guidance, I, my brother Bill Tague and our sister Cindy Tague Smith then purchased a beautiful headstone to be set at the plot. It brought great comfort then knowing that she was being remembered again with love. Fred helped us every step of the way and was so kind and caring. I am very saddened to learn that Fred has recently passed. What a wonderful man he was. Bonnie and family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. May he rest in peace.

Bonnie and Keri: I am sorry to hear of your loss. What a great man.
I am saddened to hear of Freddy's passing. He took care of the whole county and some beyond. He was so gracious and always with a smile. Healing prayers to his family. Love, Anne Darling Hull, Candor, NY
My first pastorate was at Odessa United Methodist Church (1982-87), so I often officiated at funerals during those years. Fred was such an amazing funeral director, always compassionate and caring. My deepest sympathy to Bonnie & Keri and all his family and friends. Praying for God's comfort and peace until you are reunited in heaven.
I grew up with the Scotts on Owego Street many years ago. They were the best neighbors and friends anyone could have, Fred was such a wonderful man years later when he was at the family funeral home,
God Bless Fred, May he Rest In Peace.
I first met Fred when I was dating Tom. He was a kind person and easy to talk to. When Tom was in a wedding and I did not know the bride or groom, Fred sat with me. Later on, When I had Keri in school, I would always tell him what a wonderful girl she was. He lit right up. He was so proud of her, and he should have been. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Take comfort in knowing he is at peace and in a better place.
Aunt Bonnie and Keri, Although I have not seen Uncle Fred in many years, I will always treasure our time together and the life lessons that he taught me along the way. We love you both and will keep you in our prayers.

Bonnie - I will always be so grateful it was Fred who came for Alex's physical form at hospice, not some stranger who didn't care. It made a huge difference. Love, you! Deena
Bonnie - My sincere condolences to you and your family. Fred left a lasting impression on me even though my contact was limited and brief. I have never met a kinder, caring man. With deepest sympathy, Jackie
Fred was one of my closest friends when I lived in Odessa. His smile was among the most genuine of any person I knew. He had an almost shy quality about him, but he was a sincere and authentic friend. One my favorite stories to tell my friends about Fred was when Carrie and I, along with Kevin Austin, were hosting a Superbowl Party in our parsonage. Upon seeing Fred, arrived, I stopped him at the screen door and would not let him inside until he answered this question: "Who is playing in the Superbowl today?" Fred, with that wonderous smile of his answered proudly... "The Buffalo Bills!" .. I said, Yeah, I know that, but ... Who are they playing? Fred's head dropped but the smile never left his face as he struggled with the answer.. "Oh My" he said... I know this one... A few more umhs, and ers... before he raised his finger in Triumph - His smile even bigger he announced: "Some Team from TEXAS !" - I smiled. Close enough. Come on in. I will miss you Fred. I remember you fondly. Gary Otter Scott AKA Gary Tong.
Dear Bonnie and Kari….In all my long life, I never have known a more caring person than Fred. When he came to visit Dottie Morse at the Court (and he did often, even with his busy schedule), he always stopped to visit with me. He was so very suited to his job as a Funeral Director and cared for so many families at their most difficult time. My deepest sympathy to you both and you now get to hear from everyone, even though you already know, what a truly wonderful man Fred Scott was. Love and Peace be with you.
Bonnie and Kari, There are just no words to express my concern to both of you. Fred was the most compassionate and genuinely nicest person! Sending you both my prayers and love.
Fred was a gentle, caring individual who always tried to make things easier on the families he cared for during their darkest hours. He is now 'home', restored in mind and spirit, and will continue to be missed by many. Fly high, dear one.
Fred was a consumate professional. In my career as an Episcopal Priest I have rarely known a funeral director who was as dedicated to his profession and who exhibited his respect for families as Fred. Schuyler County has lost a wonderful man. May he rest in peace.
My sincere condolences to the Scott Family for the loss of Fred. He was always a very kind man. May he rest in peace.
