Obituary of Patricia A. Strickland

Patricia A. (Wall) Strickland, 70, of Watkins Glen, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 29, 2021. She was born in New Haven, CT on May 3, 1951, the daughter of the late William and Ila Wall. Patricia received her Bachelors in Education from Southern Connecticut State University. She was a Rural Carrier for the USPS for 31 years, retiring in 2020. Patricia loved riding horses. She was an expert equestrian and won Jr. Working Hunter for the state of Connecticut one year, and qualified to show at Madison Square Garden. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and also enjoyed reading and bird watching. She is survived by her daughters, Brooke (James) Wickham of Alpine and Bethany Beligotti of Richmond, VA; sister, Karen (Vin) Morneault of St. Agatha, ME; brother, William (Kathy) Wall of Cornish, NH; four granddaughters, Adeline, Brinlee, Coralie, and Dellah; and five nephews, Brian, Roger, Paul, William and David. She was predeceased by her husband Barry Strickland. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 4-5:15 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Patricia’s memorial service will follow at 5:15 pm. Private burial will be held by her family at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Alpine.
