Elise, Harold and Kristin,
I’m so sorry to hear of your Dads passing. Losing a parent is a life changing event that you never think will happen, but it does.
My memories of your Dad include him hunting with My Dad and my Uncle Harry. Listening to their stories as they enjoyed a cocktail or two at our house after a cold day of hunting. I also remember you all coming to our house occasionally in the summer along with Uncle Harry’s family and we’d all play outside in the dark and catch fireflies. Great memories!!!
Your Dad was a very unique, caring, sweet and gentle man with a sense of humor, like no one I have ever known.
I will keep my memories of your Dad close to my heart and I believe he’s in heaven with all his buddies, including my Dad, Harold, talking about the good times and all the hunting they did. Your Dad was a one of a kind, kind of man, an honest straightforward individual with a a little bit of devil mixed in.
I hope one day soon you can all find peace and strength.
Keep telling stories, laughing and crying, it’s all a process, but your Dad is still with you, just a little differently now, his courage and strength and love he has for you all will get you through.
I was blessed to know him. Sending hugs and prayers.
