I remember a day a bunch of us skipped school, pilled in Bill's (I think) 1959 black Pontiac and headed for a joy ride around the race track ! As fast as the old boat would go we got to the crown of the hill at the top of the "S"'s and were met by a herd of deer!
Bill steered his way thru them and on we went around the track. On the way back down hospital hill the brakes gave out and somehow we made it around the corner at the bottom and got back back to his mothers house !
