Condolences
Being a lifelong neighbor of Pierre, the immediate and most forthright memories of Pierre was never ending and diligent yard and home maintenance. Whether it was mowing the lawn, maintaining his driveway, or doing home maintenance, Pierre was a perfectionist and persistent until things were just right. It was clearly evident of his standards and his way of life to take pride in everything you do.
But my favorite memories were the times he took time to have fun with the boys, whether it was playing basketball in the driveway, shooting clay pigeons, or tossing the baseball. Many people don't realize Pierre had a pretty good pitching arm. He was the first to teach me how to throw a curveball, he had a good one, I didn't.
Simply put, but the most deserving and enduring compliment is that Pierre was a damn good man. The type of person that are few and far between.
The thing I remember most about Pierre is his kind and warm personality.
He seemed to me to be a happy and joyful husband and father, When I
was very young my father Sam DeDominick would let me stay for the
weekend with Uncle Emil and Rose. I loved to stay with them, Uncle
Emil would spend time with me and Aunt Rose was so loving, always
smiling and constantly feeding me. I would play for hours with the kids
that lived across the street. My mother told me that when her and dad
were first married Pierre and Joan would come over to our house in Elmira
and they would all play outside together. I was too young to remember,
Pierre will always be a example as a husband, father, and his service to
the community. I will miss him forever, and pray that he is with Geta in
Heaven.
