Obituary of Warren A. Cross

Warren Albert "Bud" Cross, 92, of Montour Falls, NY, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from natural causes. He was born on November 18, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late, Albert Cross and Evelyn Scrimshaw. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara Ann Cross (nee Jacobs), sons, William and Robert Cross, his sister, Dorothy Howell, brothers-in-law, Al (Jean) Baker and Robert Jacobs. He was the loving father of Marius "Bud" (Debra), Barbara Havens (David), Gregory, David (Elizabeth), and Albert (Latasha); Robert's wife, Vivi; William's companion, Judy Allen; grandfather to Chad Cross, Zachary Cross, and Katrina Kaczynski; Ashley Salzer and Emily Amisano; Michelle Cross and Stephanie Thoman; Michael Havens, Fran Walker, and Kate Keller; Gregory Cross; Andrew Cross, Alison Buehler, Emily Cross, Joey Cross, and Sophie Cross; and Josiah Cross; great-grandfather to 21. He was also survived by former daughters-in-law Sharon Cross, Marilyn Wilson Cross, Rosie Villavicencio Cross and Maureen Palcos; and sister-in-law, Kaye Jacobs. Bud was a proud veteran of the US Navy and for many years enjoyed boating on Seneca Lake. He was very active through his retirement years, content and busy outside with projects in his yard, gardening, and especially on the Christmas tree farm owned by his good friend, the late Joe Stevenson. Memorial Services will be held July 2, 2021 at Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY. In lieu of flowers, family wishes contributions be made to Seneca View SNF Activity Fund, 220 Steuben St., Montour Falls, NY 14865.
