Condolences
Ellie and Family; We were so sorry to read of Mario's passing. Although we did not know Mario well we are neighbors and know the rest of the family. Our hearts go out to you and we pray for comfort from above.
Mario was my first friend on CR 6 when I moved here 18 years ago from NYC. I'll never forget when he told me that I was "from the concrete jungle." He showed me how to shoot big guns, we kayaked on occasion, and always kept in touch. We were neighbors and friends, and while the time we spent together waxed and waned, I always looked out for him and we waved or I stopped when passing his house on my way to or from work. Driving by his home has felt so empty and cold these last days, as my mind still can't grasp that he is gone. Somehow, despite his illness and setbacks, I always felt that Mario was one tough old goat who would be here for a long time to come. Mario, I hope you have found peace in your kayak in the sky.
What is tough pain in the a** Mario was. I knew him sense I was in 3rd grade I believe. This man usually had a drink in his hand and a smile on his face. Sending my love n support to family n friends
Ellie and family,
My family and I offer our deepest sympathy and prayers for comfort. We have many great memories of Mario through the years. Though we don't live in NY anymore, the last time we vacationed "back home" Mario visited with us for hours and we had a wonderful time reminiscing with him. He will be missed by all of us.

Mario, you will be missed by many, and I for one will miss you. You took me out for my first venture into kayaking and I loved every minute of it and still do. I still have the kayak I got from you. You were always a good friend to me and I'll miss that and I'll always keep you in my heart. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again. Linda Leonard
