Obituary of Ada Walenta

Ada D. Cope Westcott Walenta of Seneca View Nursing Facility, formerly of Beaver Dams, NY passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Schuyler Hospital. She was born January 10th, 1915 in Spencer, NY to Addison & Clara Leonard Doane. She was married to John Cope & William Westcott. Both predeceased her as well as her one half sister, half brother and a step sister. She received her education in the Spencer School System, was a member of the Spencer-VanEtten Alumni Association Class of 31, Moreland Presbyterian Church, Olive Branch Grange, Watkins Glen Shequaga Council #340 Degree of Pocahontas, Senior Citizen Club & RSVP of Schuyler County. She was employed at Corning incorporated with over 50 years active & retired service. Mrs. Walenta is survived by her step-daughter, Joyce (Roy) Clark of Watkins Glen, NY, and Elizabeth (Ross) Cavallero of Corning, NY. Step-sons, Keith (Sandra) Cope of Geneva, NY and Wayne (Cathy) Cope of Columbia, Maryland. 22 Grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren and several Nieces, Nephews and special cousin Lynn Doane. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service for Mrs. Walenta on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Beaver Dams Cemetery.
