We were shocked and saddened to learn of our high school classmate's passing as we did not know she was ill. We enjoyed dinner with Blanche and Jim at our 50th Class Reunion and we know how much she has given to Schuyler County so we know how much she will be missed.

I went to school with Blanche from 1963 to 1967. She was not only brilliant but friendly and sweet as well. I am proud to say she was my friend. Unfortunately, I was a nerd in high school and never made the endeavor to become closer friends. I regret this deeply. You are a marvelous woman, Blanche and Christ will welcome you with a smile on His face and arms spread wide. And I really believe in my heart and mind that this next summer Blanche should be honored and eulogized by the whole town of Watkins Glen for her years of devotion to her patients and the whole town of Watkins Glen. Please accept my sincerest condolences on your loss. It has been over 35 years now, but I had the great privilege and pleasure spending several weeks with Dr Borzell as her medical student. From her I learned so much. She taught me how to be a doctor as well as a mother and a wife. Because of her, I have mentored medical students. Please know that she had a profound impact on me. I still try to follow her common sense approach as I care for my own patients. I will remember her fondly for the rest of my days.

Dr. Borzell was my doctor for nearly 30 years. During that time, I also came to think of her as my friend. I am honored to have known this wonderful, caring woman who dedicated her life to serving Schuyler County and thankful for all the help she and her staff gave me during those years. I will miss her greatly as will the whole community. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family with the hope that the memories of her love will comfort you.

I was a patient of Dr. Borzell in the early 1980's. I am forever grateful for her advocacy of some of my medical issues. My sympathy to her family.

What a blessing to have had Dr Blanche in our midst. She was a wonderful doctor and a very caring person. I was priviliged to have known her. She will be missed.

My husband, son and I were blessed to have Dr. Borzell as our family doctor for almost thirty years. She was an amazing doctor. She was our friend as well. When I was in the hospital she visited me, going many miles out of her way to see me. She was concerned about our family in a personal and helpful way. She and I spent wonderful times talking during my health visits-it was always such a joy to see her. She loved talking about God.

To say we will miss her is an understatement. We loved her very much.

Dr. Borzell was one of the sweetest physicians I had the pleasure of working with, I met her as a newbie RN to the Schuyler County community 41 years ago, and she made me feel comfortable right away in caring for her patients. She let me know how much she appreciated my efforts to do the best job I knew how, and made me feel as valued a professional as she was!

Working alongside her as the WGCSD provider for many years was satisfying in every way - she applauded any efforts I made to improve services for our students, and allowed me the autonomy to work at this with her support.

Her empathetic and sincere love for her work and community, as well as her patients showed in everything she did....and they were always comforted by that fact, which was plain for all to see. Blanche never wanted accolades, her God-given reward were enough for her. Rest peacefully in God's arms, Dr B!

She began her practice at a time that was difficult for women physicians, and made things easier for all of us who followed in her footsteps.

Blanche always put patients first. She was a true health care hero.

Dr Blanche was our family physican for her entire career. We started with her when she opened and reamined with her the entire time. She knew and treated us like family. She will be greatly missed. God bless her family. They were the most important thing in this world to her.

My heart is heavy as this was the most compassionate, caring woman that this community has had. She ment so much to many and helped more people then any one realizes. I know that she will be missed especially by me.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Blanche was a superior Dr. and friend. Over 40 years she was always their for me and guided me every time I had a medical issue. I am having a hard time replacing her with another Dr. I have very high expectations after working with Dr. Blanche.

I taught Kindergarden for 33 years and the Dr would always find time to visit my classroom to discuss the job of a Dr and how to use the medical instruments. The children loved her so very much.
