Condolences
We have been so blessed to have known Dick as a neighbor and good friend for many years. We loved his sense of humor and kind heart and we will miss our summer gettogethers with him and his family.
Dick will be missed but he will not be forgotten. He has a legacy of caring that will live on.
Jo and family, Sue, and Bob & Dawn: our prayers are with you at this sad time. You are all in our hearts and may our families stay in touch. God Bless You.
To Jo and Girls, Sue, Bob & Dawn,
Dick lived a full and rewarding life. Downright impressive. You must extremely proud of him. My condolences to all of you.
I'm very sorry for the loss of Dick. I didn't know him well, just through his family. I grew up in Moreland and rode the bus with his brothers and sister. Later I got to know his parents slightly. I can say how polite they ALL were and a nicer family will never be found. I still feel the tragic loss of Tommy. I'm proud of all Dick has done with his life and is a beacon for others to live by. Blessings to the entire family. Just knowing you was a blessing to me. I wish you all a lot of love and healing in this hard time.
A long time friend has passed. Dick lived on the small farm just down the dusty dirt road from me for many years as we grew up. I knew him from before the effects of his Muscular Dystrophy set in. We sledded together on the snowy hills next to his house in the winter time. We hiked and camped a lot together in the surrounding area. I would help him and his family do the haying each year when that time of the year came around to stockpile the yearly nourishment supply in their barn for their small herd of cows. I would enjoy the splendorous fresh garden lunches his mom would put together from their wonderful large diverse family garden by the side of the house. It was a wonderful intermission for us on a very hot sweaty humid day from loading those heavy bales of hay onto their hay wagon pulled by a tractor driven by his younger brother Tommy, who as I remember now passed away tragically at too young an age. Nothing stood in Dick’s way physically at that time. We even climbed the sides of the slippery gorges of the finger lakes area together. Even to the top of the tall water tower overlooking the famous Shequaga Falls in Montour Falls that recently made the national news with tons of water pouring over them from the heavy rains. It is alleged that Chief Red Jacket, the famous Seneca orator used to practice his oratorical skills over the thunder of these falls back in the day. Well, I digress. But to the point, I will greatly miss a great childhood companion and life-long friend Dick Dibble.
