What a wonderful soul! Mrs. Carpenter never failed to ask about my children whenever I ran into her when I visited the area; even 20 years after we had moved and left the church we attended together, she always asked and called my kids by name. Mrs. Carpenter has always remained my true example of Christianity and sweetness.

I remember my mother, Margie Hayes, being busy with life and not feeling that she could give her assistance with a church matter but knowing that she would be asked saying, "Oh, I hope Althea doesn't ask me. I can never say no to Althea, she is just so sweet!" I'm sure many, many people felt that way. I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. I remember her fondly. May you know the comfort of the Lord in this time.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. The world is dimmer with out her beautiful smile . She was such a lovely lady. Beautiful inside and out. Every time I saw her, she always amazed me with her humble and caring way. It was remarkable how she could remember all my children and grandchildren's names even if she had not seen them in ages. She was absolutely one of a kind in many ways. I will miss her very much. I pray that all your wonderful memories will help in some way to ease the sadness. God must have welcomed her with "well done good and faithful servant".
