Condolences
I was so sorry to read of the passing of Bill Miles. I knew him from our time at First Baptist Church of Horseheads, and had accompanied him many times for singing. I enjoyed seeing him at TOPS in Watkins Glen. I will miss him and his dedication to the Lord. May you take comfort that he is now singing in heaven. Sincerely, Jennifer Mehta
Jon, Mary Lou, and Shirley,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of him while growing up in Castle Creek.
Dear Marylou, Jake and family: So sorry for the loss of your Dad! I was fortunate to have met him a couple of times at your house! I know he has been through a lot of medical issues over the last few years and always bounced back! God decided it was time for him to go and be with him. And with your mother. Prayers for his eternal peace. I wish I had been at the service this morning but unfortunately my prior obligations and the timing didn't work out! I was with you in thought and prayers! God Bless. Eileen
Bill was our next door neighbor for the past 13 years. He seemed to lead a quiet life, but was so kind to us whenever we saw him. We have a kitty cat, Merle, who loved to sneak into Bill's garage from time to time when the door was open. I have a feeling he may even have fed Merle because he kept returning when he found the opportunity. Several years ago, we were out shoveling snow in the driveway after a massive storm and he brought out his snowblower and let us use it to clear our driveway. He must have quietly observed our obvious struggle and chose to do the neighborly thing. I wish we could have returned the favor more often. I will always be thankful for his kindness.
Jon and Robin,
So sorry to hear of your father's passing. Carolyn and i are thinking and praying for you and your family.
I am sorry for your loss. May your family draw strength and comfort from God's promise at Isaiah 41:10: “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.”
