Obituary of Louise M. Miller

Louise M. Miller, 93, of Cayuta, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Brooktondale, NY on February 5, 1924, the daughter of the late George and Eva (Cortright) Wolcott. Louise had a full life, filled with travel and adventures. She enjoyed retirement with her loving husband, making quilts, playing cards and spoiling their cats. Her family brought her great joy and her favorite thing in the world was to have a full house of people to feed! She will be remembered by everyone who was lucky enough to have had her touch their lives. She is survived by her husband, James Miller; children, Anne Durfey, Steven Sopp, Janice Bostic, and Ronald Sopp; daughter-in-law, Teryl Sopp; grandchildren, Cheryl Gombas, Michele (Jon) Henderson, Jennifer (Jeff) Stevenson, R.J. Durfey, Ryan Durfey, Kristen Harstad, Jackie (Chris) Cooper, Jeanne (Peter) Moreno, Jerica (Josh) Murdough, Nick Sopp, and Brad Moore; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, John Sopp, son-in-law, Jim Bostic, sisters, Lela Roger, Betty Woodard and Ellen Corning, and brothers, William Wolcott, Charles Wolcott and Donald Wolcott. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 1-2 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm.
