Obituary of Paula Depew

Paula J. Depew, 72, of Montour Falls, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. She was born on November 24, 1943, the daughter of the late Ellen (Parker) Thorsland. Paula was employed as a production inspector with Borg Warner for over 29 years. She enjoyed spending time and playing cards with her friends at the Montour Moose Lodge 426, and loved her two dogs, Little Man and Baby. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Depew on December 13, 2013. She is survived by her siblings, Butch Breed of Jacksonville, FL, Neil (Barbara) Thorsland of Katy, TX, Sharon (Harry) Lake of Northfield, NJ, Jerrilyne Belcher of Southpoint, OH, Rosalyne Fairbanks of Pennellville, NY, and Royce (Stacey) Groesbeck of Syracuse, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home followed by burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Montour Moose Lodge 426.
