Obituary of Paul Montgomery

Paul Montgomery, age 77, of Odessa, NY, unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord on Monday, December 21, 2015. Paul was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Paul was born on December 7, 1938. He was a longtime member of Glad Tidings Christian Life Church. After Paul retired from General Electric, he went on to be a self-employed contractor, and in 1999 went on to work at Catharine Court Apartments in Montour Falls, NY where he made so many special friends. Paul is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sandy Owen Montgomery; his children, Alyssa (Chris) Hammond (along with their children, Brendyn, Kaila, and Ashlyn Hammond) of Beaver Dams, NY; Les Montgomery of Elmira Heights, NY; Nancy (Bill) White of Southport, NY; Doug Montgomery of Elmira, NY; Kevin (Leslie) Montgomery of Daytona Beach, FL; and Karen (Bill) Whitford of Elmira Heights, NY; and their children, Matthew, Krista, Jason, Michael, Justin, Taesha, Ryan, Kimberly, Megan, Caitlyn, and Aric; his siblings, Carolyn (Tom) Robbins of Fisherville, NY; Connie Southard Paul of Elmira, NY; Janet (Irv) Tourtellotte of Bloomingdale, GA; Donald (Patty) Southard of Jupiter, FL; Delores Williams of Walnut Springs, TX; and sister in law Martha Montgomery of North Carolina; along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family. Paul is pre-deceased by his brother Richard Montgomery, and sister Shirley Southard along with many other loved ones. Paul will be so greatly missed by all of his family, and all that knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 2-4 pm at Glad Tidings Christian Life Church, 116 Breesport Rd, Horseheads, NY. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm. Private burial will be held in Montour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Paul would like you to vote Republican.
