Obituary of Ruth Bush

Ruth Dean Teeter- Hammond-Bush, 84, of Reynoldsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls. She was born on March 10, 1931 in Reynoldsville, the daughter of the late Paul and Reva (Landon) Dean and attended Watkins Glen High School. She worked at Ceracchi Cable TV,NCR- Ithaca and Ithaco. She was a member of the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church and the Reynoldsville Community Club. Ruthie loved music and dancing, bowling and playing the organ. Ruthie is survived by her daughters, Carol Waterman of Ithaca, Ginger Sears of Freeville, Luanne (Joseph) Collins of Ithaca and Barbara Bennett of Reynoldsville; sisters, Jane (Andy) Simmons of Interlaken and Nancy (Fay) Combs of Burdett; stepchildren, Melodie Hammond, Jon (MaryLee) Hammond and Lon (Anna) Hammond; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Richard D. Teeter, Mervin L. Hammond and Raymond G. Bush; grandson, Jason Bennett; sisters, Velma Teeter and Dora Bush; and son-in-law, Donnie Sears. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 1-2 pm at the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church, 5076 State Route 227, Burdett, NY. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with burial in Frear Memorial Park Cemetery in Ithaca. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church.
