Jay and I met in 1994 at Immaculate Conception School in Ithaca, during this time Mrs. VanderVliet was teaching history and french. Because of Mrs. VanderVliet I ended up majoring in history in college and went on to become a librarian. I enjoyed her creative teaching style. We will keep her family in our prayers.
Roger,
We are so sorry to hear about Jean but we rejoice in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Libby had wonderful Bible Studies with Jean at our store and she will be truly missed.
Jean was a great educator and organizer. I had the opportunity to work with her as a staff member for Schuyler County 4-H. She was so creative and dependable. There were many 4-H volunteers and youth who benefited from her work. My sincere condolences to her family.
