Charlie was such a presence in the community almost up to the end. It was always enjoyable to sit and chat with Charlie. We will miss that. Our thoughts are with you.

With sad hearts we send our sincere condolences to the Richards family. Charlie loved his family dearly and would keep us informed about family happenings around the world and the new arrivals as the family grew. He was much more than a good friend to us. He was a unique man who cared sincerely about his friends and the people he met. A man of much knowledge and many skills, Charlie never tired of talking with others, always ready to be of help. He knew what was happening in the local community and if a person in need required to be checked on. One cannot put into a few words what he meant to all of us but we are richer for knowing him. He left a huge mark and will be greatly missed. With time the joyful "Charlie" stories and countless happy memories will remain with us forever.

Charlie, I will forever remember our Thursday hot chocolate and/or coffee chats at the ambulance station, those were some of the best stories you shared! So sad to hear of your passing, may you rest in peace!
