Obituary of Muriel Wasson

Muriel C. Wasson, 96, of Burdett, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She was born in Bennettsburg, NY on February 13, 1918, the daughter of the late Edwin C. and Orrilla M. (Smith) Chase. She was a graduate of Watkins Glen High School. On June 19, 1937, she married Raymond Wasson in Corning, NY. Mr. Wasson passed away in 1973. Muriel was a waitress at Chef's Diner for twenty-five years. She loved to read, crochet and spend time with her family. She was predeceased by two sons, Jerry Dean Wasson and Gary Lynn Wasson; and siblings, George A. Chase, C. Elaine Reynolds, and Orville F. Chase. Muriel is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Clyde) Taylor of Burdett; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
