Obituary of Charles Moore

Charles (Charlie) E. Moore, age 75, Beaver Dams, NY, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, surrounded by family. Charlie was born on April 22, 1937 to James & Marie (Morningstar) Moore in Towanda, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Chemung, NY with his three brothers and a sister. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife Fonda, after 35 years of marriage, in 1999. Charlie proudly served in the United States Army as a medic and worked for 48 years at Thatcher/Diamond-Bathurst/Anchor Glass. Charlie thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, keeping up with his grandchildren, and getting to know his great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing at Lake Ontario, and watching NASCAR. Charlie was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all! Left to cherish his memory are his sister Carlene (Scott) Thorp of Chemung, NY and his children, son Michael, daughter Linda Hart, both of Bullock, NC, son Steven (Kimberly) of Beaver Dams, NY, daughter Penny (Joe) Hammond of Montour Falls, NY, son David (Tammy) of New Field, NY, son Kevin (LeiLei) of Plainsboro, NJ, his 13 grandchildren, Jason and Samantha, Tonya and Jessica, Heather, Shane, Dustin and Jared, Danielle (Jesse) and Waylon, Adam and Brandon, and Mendy, and his 5 great-grandchildren, Autumn, Jastari, Jestannie, Braydon and Emma. He's also survived by his dear friend, Alice Holden and his furry "little buddy" Jett. At Charlie's request, there will be no services.
