Obituary of Belva Clark

Belva Jane (States) Clark, 45, of Montour Falls, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Montour Falls on January 10, 1969 the daughter of the George and Janet States. She graduated from Odessa Montour High School in 1986. Belva worked part time for CDRC. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Catharine. Belva is survived by her loving husband, David Wayne Clark; daughter Brittany Michelle Clark (Albert Gordon Buckland) of Tyrone; sons, Ethan Wayne Clark and Matthew David Clark both of Montour Falls; her mother, Janet M. States of Odessa; sister, Cynthia States of Odessa; brother, George W. States, III of Odessa; and godson, Anthony Rice. She was predeceased by her father, George States, Jr. in 2006. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 5-9 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. A service for the Burial of the Dead and Holy Eucharist will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 10:00 am St. John's Episcopal Church in Catharine, on County Rds. 14 & 15. Committal will follow in Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the college fund for Belva's sons. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
