Obituary of MaryLou Hausner

MaryLou Hausner, 76, of Montour Falls, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Robert Packer Hospital. She was born on August 16, 1937, the daughter of the late George and Irma Chappell Beard and graduated from Dundee High School. MaryLou was a former waitress at the Holiday Inn in Horseheads and Stones Restaurant in Watkins Glen. She was a member of the Montour Falls United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her brothers, Harold, Alvin and Ronald Beard; and sisters, Ruth Wood, Marlene Pratt, and Alice Petersen. MaryLou is survived by her daughter, Lori Hausner of Montour Falls; sons, William Hausner of Montour Falls, Thomas (Nina) Hausner of Burkburnett, TX, and Michael (Chris Kemp) of Montour Falls; a sister, Edith Wright of Hammondsport; five grandchildren, Brett (Melanie) VanAmburg of Burdett, Michelle VanAmburg (Ted Ostrander) of Big Flats, Erica (Josh) Wilson of Burkburnett, TX, Taylor Hausner of Burkburnett, TX, and Casey Hausner of Montour Falls; eight great grandchildren, Brittany, Ryan, Nathan and Eric VanAmburg, Kendra and Paige Newkirk, and Brooke and Dylan Wilson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday at Vedder and Scott funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Burial will follow in Tyrone Union Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 11-12 pm at the funeral home.
