Ruth was a true southern lady with a little spunk. Although she loved her home in Montour and her “family” at her summer home on Seneca lake, it was obvious to anyone that knew her that “Georgia was always on her Mind”. She loved fresh watermelon, her special hushpuppies and the Georgia Bulldogs. Ruth was a loving Mom who was very proud of her sons, daughter-in-laws and grandchildren. She loved to tell stories about the good old days and always had time for one to pull up a chair and share a story or two of their own. Her true love was her husband Stan. Deb and I never had the pleasure of meeting Stan but felt we knew him well through Ruth’s ongoing memories. Stan also loved Rundle’s Trailer Park and had a dream to share it with others for years to come. Ruth proudly carried out Stan’s wishes and often met challenges with, “Well that’s the way Stan wanted it, so that’s the way it will be.” We will always be thankful to Ruth for her hospitality, kindness, laughter and for letting us enjoy a small piece of her and Stan’s dream at Seneca lake. She will truly be missed, but will always remain in our memories.
