Obituary of Georganna E. Brown

Georganna E. Brown, age 65, of Montour Falls, died Monday, April 22, 2024 at her residence.

Georganna was born on April 4, 1959 in Hancock, NY. She was daughter of the late Isabel I. Mitterwager Brown and George H. Brown. Georganna was a graduate of Deposit Central High School studied Executive Secretarial A.A.S. at SUNY Broome Community College. She was employed as a paralegal for over 40 years at several law firms including The Halpin Firm in Montour Falls. Georganna was recently hired by Catholic Charities.

Georganna loved going to fairs and festivals, camping, playing violin, and gardening. Georganna loved a glass of wine, wine tasting and visiting vineyards with her friends. Her love of cooking was known to everyone and any time she could get on the grill it was her favorite. Georganna loved to shop and spend time with friends and family.

She is survived by a sister Darlene A Breeden and brother in law Rick Breeden of Sayre, PA., nieces Shannon Bailey, Jennifer Bunce, Christina Hubbard, and Stephanie Barry, nephews Edward Turner, Sonny Turner, Wes Turner, Brad Turner, and several great nieces and nephews. Georganna was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Vernon Turner, Doug Turner, and sister Phyllis Moore.

There will be a celebration of Georganna’s life on Sunday April 28, 2024, from 1pm-5pm, at the Sayre VFW Post 1536, 932 W Lockhart St., Sayre, PA, 18840.
