Obituary of Judy E. Simpson

Judy Ellen (Sickel) Simpson, age 63, of Westfield, PA entered unto rest on Thursday, February 22^nd, 2024 at UPMC Williamsport.

Judy was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 13^th, 1960, the daughter of the late Ernest Sickel and Mary Pecketz.  She attended Brandywine Heights Area School District in Topton, PA. and was married in Oley, PA on February 14^th, 1984 to Frank James Simpson of Watkins Glen.  She worked in manufacturing, doing assembly and packing.  She was a member of the Valley Christian Church in Westfield, PA.  Judy enjoyed walking and hiking for miles with her headphones listening to worship music, exercising to Gilad, baking her cheesecake, fudge, PB Buckeye Balls, and chocolate chip cookies (a family favorite), reading her bible and Daily Bread, and making others laugh.

Judy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Frank James Simpson; daughters, Miranda (Ryan) Wood of Cameron, NC and Venise (Josh) Cox of Woodhull, NY; son, Brandon (Financee Laurie) Simpson of Hazelton,PA; step-sons, Carl of Corning, NY, Kevin (Tracey) of Painted Post, NY and Jared of Binghamton, NY; sixteen grandchildren; sisters, Mary Simmler of Chateaugay, NY, Melanie (Ed) Shiner of Chateaugay, NY, and Sherry Sickle of Reading, PA; and sister-in-law’s, Verna (Ernie) of Red Hill, PA and Kathryn (Roy) of St. Regis Falls, NY.  In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her mother, Mary in 2007; father, Ernest in 1999; brothers, Franklin in 1978, Ernie in 2023 and Roy in 2023 and her sisters, Marlene in 2008 and Christine in 2013.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, March 12^th, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Vedder- Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N.
