Obituary of Melissa A. Bower

Melissa Amy Bower, 43, of Dryden, NY, and formerly of Monterey, NY, entered unto rest on Friday, October 6, 2023. She was born in Sacramento, CA on August 8, 1980 the daughter of Merlyn Bower and Connie Lathrop. She attended West Corning High School. Melissa was a homemaker and her greatest joy was being a mom. She also enjoyed crafts. Melissa is survived by her daughters, Ashlyn Little and Viola Wood; mother, Connie Lathrop of Dryden, NY; father, Merlyn Bower of Albany, NY; sister, Heather Bower McFall; three brothers, Harry Dicus of Zephyrhills, FL, Clyde Dicus of Rome, NY and Floyd Dicus of Elkland, PA; nieces and nephews, Jade, Damion and Gavin Gublo, Teesha and Sabrina Dicus, Harry Dicus, Jeremy Sannes-VenHuizen, Timothy Bower and Shane Bower. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Nicky McFall. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY.
