Obituary of Shirley M. DuVall

Shirley Marie DuVall, 66, of Montour Falls, New York passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born on November 5, 1956 and graduated from Watkins Glen High School.

She worked as a Home Health Aide in Corning, NY.  Shirley loved to attend the auctions.  She was an amazing euchre player who taught her grandchildren how to beat her at the game.  She loved the color red and all kinds of angel knickknacks.  She loved to go fishing and to watch NASCAR and WWE.  Shirley enjoyed sitting and sharing a cup of tea with her best friend Arlene Kimble and playing cards with her good friend Sandy Just.

She is survived by four sons,  Robert (Stephanie) Chiacchiarini of Montour Falls, NY; Brian (Ashley) Chiacchiarini of Water Valley, Mississippi; Michael (Suzi) Smith of Faulcner, NY; Jesse (Dezera) Knapp of Watkins Glen, NY; sister, Sharon (Mary Lea) Nelson of Watkins Glen, NY; fifteen grandchildren,  Rebecca (Dylan), William (Brittany), Nicole, Brandon, Aaron, Lilly,  Vanessa, Kaite, Makayla, Karlee, Kaylee, Braydon, Brooklyn, Korey and Remi; and nieces,  Kendra Cornish, Nateah Cornish, Casey Watkins, Ashley Whitacre, Abby Miller and Faith Nelson. She was predeceased by her mother, Arlene and brother, Arthur Nelson.

A Celebration of Shirley DuVall’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Robert and Stephanie Chiacchiarini’s house, 4200 County Road 14 (Jackson Hill Road), Montour Falls, NY.
