Charles "Bud" Lovell, 97, of Catharine, New York, entered into a well-deserved eternal rest on March 28, 2023 at his home that he built in 1956-57. He was born on November 1, 1925 to Cecil and Edna Lovell.

He retired from Shepard Niles after 44 years as a machinist. He was a long time member of the Mechanics Club in Montour Falls. Bud built a cabin in the woods where he enjoyed hunting, cutting wood, and picnicking with family. Bud spent many enjoyable hours fishing bullheads in the canal at Watkins Glen. He enjoyed going out to eat with family and riding the bull at Texas Roadhouse on his 97th birthday. He always looked forward to the family picnic at Havana Glen.

He was predeceased by his wife, parents, sister, Ellen (Chuck) Crane; and in-laws: Genevieve (Robert) Potter, Grace (Jack) Davis and Ray Bird.

Bud is survived by his children: Carolyn Seymour (Charlie), Shirley (Jim) Hoxie, and Randy (Sally) Lovell; nine grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, sixteen great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
