Condolences
My first job out of college was working with Gary at the KMart in Horseheads in 1976. As a new member of the Kmart management training program, Gary immediately took me under his wing. No surprise to see he went on to have a wonderful career with KMart. He was a class guy. Our condolences to his family.

Gary taught me more than anyone in my life. He was a mentor & father figure to me. A truly great man! I will carry his memory for the rest of my life.
To Gary's Family. I knew Gary from School at OMCS. He was always so outgoing, friendly. Such a happy go lucky guy with a great smile. Cared so much for other people. Also remember for sports and pep club Gary was such a big part of it and Gary would let everyone know how much He appreciate it all and them. Know how much he cared about His Family, Community and all those around him. The memories that You all have much be so wonderful.
So Sorry for Your Loss of Gary. All of You are in my heart, thoughts and prayers. Maureen
Gary was a wonderful person. He came to my Kmart back in 2002 to announce the closing. It was when we went thru bankruptcy the first time. In those few days I got to know him and I know he was one of the good ones. Never got to work with him but always hoped our paths would cross again. My sincere sympathy on your loss.
So sorry to hear of Gary's passing, Katrina. My thoughts are with you and your family. Lots of good memories with him, house hunting for the two of you in Lancaster. Have thought of both of you over the years, unfortunately, miles apart.
My condolences to the Ector family. Gary was a kind and passionate father and husband.
My sincere heartfelt condolences to the family. My mother Geri Rice and I worked with Gary for many years at Kmart. He was one of the best managers I ever worked for. He had such a great sense of humor and was caring and understanding. Some of my best memories were working with him at Kmart. May He Rest in Eternal Peace.
Our deepest sympathies to you Katrina and families. Ed and Linda Vankirk.

To The entire Family & Friends of Mr Ector,
I so remember this gentleman from KOHL'S Horseheads,NY !! He was ALWAYS right there to see what could be done better for his team and customers alike ! He always had a look on his face as people talked, as he did hear them, was thinking ahead on how to make what ever it was right, plus to prevent again . I will say , reading thru he must have been such a wonderful, caring family man! as "Family" is what I read he was about ! Always looking out for others. An immeasurable loss for all. May there come a sense of peace as you share memories, photos and so much you each remember about Mr Ector(as I knew him as a customer! THIS is what an impression he made on me ! ) Sending you all love, prayers,
