Obituary of Floyd S. Hull

Floyd S. Hull, 92, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Bethany Manor in Horseheads, NY. He was born in Ambridge, PA on December 3, 1930 the son of the late Curtis and Evelyn (Bendle) Hull. Floyd served with the US Navy during the Korean War. Floyd worked as a welder at Shepard Niles Hoist & Crane in Montour Falls for many years, retiring in 1994. He was a 56 year member of the Watkins Glen Fire Department and NYS Fire Police Association. Floyd was a charter member of the Schuyler County Volunteer Ambulance and Past Master of Myrtle-Jefferson #131 F. & A.M, in Montour Falls, NY. Floyd is survived by his daughter, Beth (Bill) Meehan of Watkins Glen, NY; son, Tim (Anne) Hull of Candor, NY; sister, Linda Gould of Burdett, NY; two grandchildren, Jessica (Pat) Henderson and Jay (Lindsay) Meehan; two great grandchildren with another one expected in September. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann H. Hull on August 9, 2021. A graveside service with military honors will be held for Floyd on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Montour Cemetery (Upper Entrance), Mill St., Montour Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 112 Sixth St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891 or Watkins Glen Fire Department, 201 N. Perry St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891.
