George Edger Heath, 71, of Monterey, NY passed away August 25, 2012 at Robert Packard Hospital in Sayre, PA. George was born June 10, 1941, the oldest son of William "Edger" and Ruth Heath. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, a great brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife Beatrice Heath of 51 years, his daughter Pamela Robinson (Ron), son George Heath Jr. grandchildren Joshua and Julia Heath, brothers Steve Heath (Mary), Philip Heath (Liz), David Heath, Bill Heath, and James Heath (Debbie), sister Sandy Boyer (Wayne) and sister Patricia Williams who predeceased him and several nieces and nephews. George retired after 25 years of service for the Local 700 Carpenters Union. Always an all around handyman, he enjoyed helping others. For over 20 years, George was a member of the Monterey Volunteer Fire Department and bowled as a member of their bowling league. He enjoyed and loved his blue and gold macaw parrot Tuky, gardening and his beautiful flowers. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N.
