Obituary of Deborah Fausel

Fausel, Deborah Ann, age 56 of Montour Falls, NY passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 in the comfort of her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St. Montour Falls, NY on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 between the hours of 5 to 7 PM followed by her funeral service. The Rev. Bob DeWitt will officiate. Her husband, Alan Fausel, children, Joseph Colby of Wichita, Kansas, Diana Colby (Paul) of Vernon, Connecticut, Melissa & Rob Tuttle of Montour Falls, NY, Ken Fausel of Corning, NY and Shawn Olson of Andover, Minnesota, survives Mrs. Fausel. Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many foster children. Sisters: Linda Bump of Newington, CT, Kathy & Doug Dufour of Vernon, CT, Donna & Bob Guilbeault of Attleboro, MA and Joyce & Roger Lambert of Manville, R.I. Brothers: Richard & Becky Gilbert of Attleboro, MA, Tom & Liz Gilbert of Brunswick, ME and Ronny & Kelly Gilbert of Brunswick, ME. Her parents, George & Georgia Genghner Gilbert, brother, Larry and sister, Rose, predeceased Mrs. Fausel. Mrs. Fausel was a loving caregiver of many children that she cared for in the day care facility she operated in her home. The family expresses there thanks to Carolyn Dewitt, the doctors & nurses at Strong Memorial Hospital and Hope Lodge of Rochester, NY also to AIM, Southern Tier Hospice nurses and Dr. Theresa Spaulding along with family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Southern Tier Hospice & Palliative Care.
