Obituary of Harriett Everett

Harriett Everett Harriett French Everett, age 100, of Montour Falls, NY, died at Schuyler Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 23, 2013. "When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, remember the love we all have shared and that will comfort thee." She was born on June 11, 1913 to the late Merton and Mabel Northrup French. Harriett was retired from Odessa Montour School District as an Elementary Librarian. Harriett was predeceased by her husband George W. Everett Sr., son Richard, brother Robert French, granddaughter Linda Everett and dear friend Dorothy McCarty. She is survived by sons George W. Jr. and wife Hazel of Horseheads, and Robert and wife Carol of Watkins Glen; brothers Edwin French and son Gary, Edward French and son Kevin, all of Horseheads; grandchildren Lori and Robert Doughty, Karen (Rudy) and Mark Storm, Kelie and David Stansfield, Lisa Everett and Kevin Beebe, Thomas and Melody Everett, and Tammy and Jeffrey Everett. Harriett had 10 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and many dear friends, nieces and nephews. Donations in Harriett's memory can be made to the ARC or a charity of your choice. Family and friends are inviting to calling hours Friday, November 29 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, with the service to follow at 3:00 pm, officiated by Jeanne Bleiler. Both will be held at Vedder & Scott Funeral Home in Montour Falls.
