Obituary of Mary E. Mace

Mary E. Mace, 58, of Cayuta, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Mary was born on June 8, 1963 in Elmira, New York. She was one of six children born to Gerald and Ann Cady. Mary graduated from Southside High School, class of 1981. Mary loved spending her free time laying in her yard, soaking up the sun's rays. She also enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren, going to her sister Margie's house for a couple weeks to get away, fishing, and just being outdoors. Mary and Patrick, Sr. were married on January 24, 1981 and enjoyed many camping and fishing trips to the Susquehanna River during their marriage. Mary is survived by her children, Tracie Mace (Jessi DeGraw), Patrick Jr., and April Mace; seven grandchildren, Mahalamae, Anna, Jacqueline, Thomas, Lilly, Jasmine and Patrick; her siblings, Margie Hitchcock, Mike Cady and James Cady. She is also survived by her special sisters-in-law, Carol Rich, Donna (DJ) Cady and Karen Cady; and her favorite daughter-in-law, Chelsea Eason. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years on July 15, 2016, newborn daughter Mahalamae, and her brothers, John and Jerry Cady. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm at 971 Rice Rd., Cayuta.
