Condolences
I am very sorry to hear the passing of your father. He was our Boy Scout leader in Alpine. Mike Mason, Wayne Decker, JImmy Grover, and George Rumsey plus others are grateful for having Dave for our scoutmaster. I had the pleasure of meeting Dave again in 2010 at his home along with my sister Jackie. He gave me my old scout card. Could not believe he held that for me. Appreciated that very much. Will always remember Dave for the special person he was to all of us. Rod Colburn

My condolences to David and your family. I remember how kind and welcoming your parents were to me when I was young.
May your family and friends take solace by remembering the great spirit and friendship Dave shared with everyone. Dave loved his family and community and willingly participated and took the lead in community programs and organizations.
He was a regular guy loved by all. He will be missed. I am proud to have him as a friend.
I've had the pleasure of meeting David Sr only once, but it was very obvious to me that he was a very good judge of character, and family was very important to him.
There are no words that I can give you that will ease your loss, words are inadequate. Sending all of David's family my deepest condolences.
David: Tough to lose a parent as it means a generation change. it will take time. Our prayers will go with you and your family Erik

My wife, Joanna, and I would like to express our condolences to the Sidle Family for their loss. To me, Dave was a great guy...a "mans man". He was the scoutmaster of troop 50 in Odessa for a number of years and I had the pleasure of being one of those boys. He made my scouting experience very memorable, to say the least. He could bark like a drill sergeant and when he said to "Hold it down!", you can bet we did so. More importantly, though, he possessed the real leadership qualities that I remember him for...patience, knowledge, and a love for what he was doing. We all learned a great deal from him. Thank you, Dave, for your time and interest in trying to make better men of us. God be with him and his family at this time.
So sorry for your loss. Dave was our insurance man for many years he was a wonderful man. My he Rest In Peace.
David was the kindest and caring man. I did my insurance with him because he was so kind AND because he radiated how much he loved his family, especially his kids. I no longer live in the state but I had to write because Dave was an extremely special person. He did make a difference in this world. My heart is with you. He is a big loss to the world. Blessings to you all.
David was the best of the best. He saved me at age 15 to live with his mother Aunt Bea. God rest his soul. Fly with the Angel's David.
SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES! OUR FAMILIES HAD MANY GREAT TIMES TOGETHER!
So very sorry to hear this news. Lifting your family in prayer.
So sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you during this most difficult time.
I am so sorry for your loss! I will remember Dave forever. I also remember Sandy! I am hopeful they will see each other in heaven. They were solemates and belong together forever. They had a love that many people will never see. I had many trials and tribulations with both of them. However, when push came to shove, we all stayed together. I am grateful they were my friends. I will miss them so much. I tried to call Dave every week just to say hello and how are you. I always called him boss and he always called me kid. He always appreciated my call. We spent a lot of time discussing his life with Sandy. We also spent a lot of time discussing politics as he and I are both republicans. He hired me at 30 years old. He told me the reason was due to the fact I that I was a registered republican and he looked it up in his book. The other reason he hired me was due to the fact that I wore a skirt and was dressed appropriately. I could tell many stories of our times together, but it would take forever. One of my favorites is that Sandy always left a needle and thread in the office, Dave split the seam in his pants, could not leave the office, hid in the lounge in his underwear, handed me his pants and asked me to stich them. I told him that was not part of my description. However, I did do it and manned the phone and customers.
So sorry for you and your families loss. He was a great man.
Sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Even though I have rarely been back to Odessa in the past fifty some years I have fond memories of the Boy Scouts with Dave. He was a good man and I considered him a friend. My condolences to his family. I will not be able to make the trip to Odessa for his funeral, but he will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Mr. Sidle made Suday School worth looking forward to. He always had great personal stories that were filled with his humorous wit. His smile and laughter were very contagious. So many great memories of him and his family. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
