Obituary of Ryan L. Pruitt

Ryan L. Pruitt, 18, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017. He was born in Montour Falls on July 30, 1998 the son of David Pruitt and Dede Labonte. Ryan was a senior at Watkins Glen High School. He played football, track, and cheerleading- where he was able to do some amazing jumps. Ryan was all about football, lifting weights, riding his motorcycle, and was always smiling and laughing. He was a member of His Tabernacle Family Church. He is survived by his parents, David and Charlene Pruitt of Watkins Glen, Dede Labonte and Bill Tague of Watkins Glen; sisters, Sonja Pruitt of Union, SC, Raiana Labonte of Watkins Glen, and step sister, Cara Avery of Albany; brother, Sean Scholtisek of NC, step brothers, Tyler Avery of Caton and Reese Tague of Watkins Glen; grandparents, Shirley Pruitt of Watkins Glen, Sheila and Tom Hoxie of Montour Falls and David Scholtisek of Watkins Glen; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and special friends, Charlie Wright and Amanda Pike. He was predeceased by his grandfather, William Pruitt in 2014. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Ryan on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Watkins Glen High School Football Field, 12th St., Watkins Glen.
