Obituary of James Chaffee

James A. Chaffee, 86, of Montour Falls, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Schuyler Hospital. He was born in Van Etten on October 29, 1928, the son of the late Glen and Jenny (Grover) Chaffee. Jim was employed with Cotton-Hanlon, Inc. for 38 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gladys; his children, Ida Chaffee of Lodi, Stephanie Chaffee of Newfield, and James Chaffee of Watkins Glen; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Theodore Chaffee, a sister, Leatrice Makley, and a step-son, David Thomas. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Odessa.
