Obituary of Linda M. Tobey

Linda Marie Tobey, 77, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sayre, PA on January 16, 1948 the daughter of the late Anson L. and Doris (Stevens) Dann, Jr. Linda married Robert Tobey on November 25, 1967. She worked as a legal secretary for several local attorneys for many years.

Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert; two daughters, Tracy (Pat) Bannon and Wendy (Dan) Grinolds; grandchildren, Brooke Hamelin, Amanda Grinolds, Patrick Bannon and RJ Bannon; and great grandchildren, Levi and Reese Hamelin. She was predeceased by her brothers, Anson L. Dann, III and Michael Dann.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 1-4 pm at the Mechanics Club, 237 W. Main St., Montour Falls, NY. Contributions may be made in her memory to Care First, 3805 Meads Creek Rd., Painted Post, NY 14870.
