Joan Marie Griswold, age 90, of Montour Falls, NY passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. Joan was born in Hector, NY on April 3, 1935 to the late Harry D. and Phoebe E. (Lovelace) Jackson.

Joan is predeceased by her parents, and stepmother Mable E. Lovelace; her loving husband, Robert W. Griswold; her son, Robert Sherman, along with his wife Jody; twin brothers, Bobby Lovelace and Harry Lovelace, Jr.; sisters, Helena M. Burlew, Patricia A. Muckey, Birdine Blovsky, Gloria J. Drew, and Betty Havens; and stepbrother, Ralph Swartz. She is survived by sons, Tommy (Michelle) Griswold, Rick Sherman, Harry Sherman, Duddly (Patricia) Griswold, Sr.; John Griswold, and Tim Griswold; daughters, Roxanne (Ken) Kliest, Heidi Kipp (Thomas Loney), Bobby Jo (Brandon) Richardson, and Pam Byrd; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joan graduated from Trumansburg High School. She worked as a housekeeper for the Sheraton Hotel, but was also a proud homemaker for her own children and for many foster children, whom she took in and loved as her own. She was Methodist by Faith, a member of the NRA, and active in the Montour Falls Moose Lodge #426.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her caregivers at Seneca View, whom she loved dearly.
