Obituary of Beverly K. Louch McKee

Beverly K. McKee, formerly Beverly A. (Kinney) Louch, a wonderful mother, wife and daughter, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at the age of 91, at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, New York. Beverly was born November 7, 1933 in Binghamton, New York to the late W. Roland and Anne (Keavin) Kinney, later moving to Elmira, New York.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur W. Louch in 1973; along with her sister and brother-in-law, John and Shirley Mace. She is survived by her three sons, David (Sharlyn) of Montour Falls, New York, Thomas (Tina) of Norman, Oklahoma, and Matthew (Leighton) of Neptune Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Stephanie, Daniel, Robert, Matthew, Jack, Charlotte, and Chelsea; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces, Deborah and Victoria; and two nephews, John III and Jesse.

Beverly was raised in Elmira, New York, where after graduating from Elmira Catholic High School in 1952, she worked as a legal secretary for the Sayles & Evans Law Firm in Elmira. She later fell in love with, and married Arthur W. Louch on August 23, 1958. Together, they moved to Greensburg, Pennsylvania, outside of Pittsburgh, to raise their three sons. Beverly returned home following Arthur's death and established herself within her community. She ran a successful office supply store and gift shop in Watkins Glen for many years, where she enjoyed talking to members of the community and tourists, and where she also made many friends. She enjoyed traveling and visited various countries, after her retirement from Ambrose & Shoemaker Real Estate Agency.  She was an avid reader and gardener, and absolutely loved the color turquoise.  She was known for having turquoise jewelry, and the color was featured throughout the decor of her home. Beverly also enjoyed being surrounded by her pets, especially her Siamese cat, Zack and faithful dog, Schuyler. Upon a decline in health, Beverly became a resident of Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility, where she was compassionately cared for until she was called by the Lord.

The family would like to thank Dr. Benjamin Saks and Patricia Kelly, NP for her care.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 4-6pm at Vedder-Scott and Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY.  Beverly's funeral service will begin at 6pm, with a private burial service to follow on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Epiphany Cemetery, Sayre, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility, 220 Steuben St., Montour Falls, NY 14865 and/or the Humane Society of Schuyler County, 124 Marina Dr., Montour Falls, NY 14865.
