Obituary of Joyce A. Wicks

Joyce Wicks, age 92, of Watkins Glen, NY, formerly of Pine City, NY and Murrells Inlet, SC, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and entered paradise with her husband Charles on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Joyce was born in Elmira, NY on December 30, 1932, the daughter of Harold and Mabel Little.

Joyce was a dedicated mom, wife and grandmother. She was a daycare provider for many years, and then retired from the Pine City School District. Along with her husband Charles, she is predeceased by her sister Winnie and brothers-in-law Ken Palmer, Robert Wicks and Larry Wicks.

Joyce is survived by her children, Deborah (Gary) Bailey of Beaver Dams, NY, Susan Bourne of Watkins Glen, NY, Chuck (Brandi) Wicks of Seneca Falls, NY, and Beth Ann Wicks of Rochester, NY; sister-in-law, Lucy Wicks of Carlisle, PA; six grandchildren, Jeremy (Meagan) Bailey, Jessica (Marc) Perrine, Benjamin (Hannah) Bailey, Julie (Luis) Castello, Crystal Mikel and Frank (Danielle) Eldridge; great-grandchildren, Cullen Bailey, Olivia and Brecken Perrine, Shepherd, Joy and Noa Bailey, Reyna and Antonio Castello, Andre and Maria Mikel, and Frankie, Jovanni and Danica Eldredge; along with nieces and nephews, Jill Baun, Audrey Wicks, Geoffrey Wicks, Mike Palmer and Mary Lanzeri.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 2pm at the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Avenue, Pine City, NY. A luncheon will follow at the church. Interment will be at Woodlawn National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
