Obituary of Dennis K. "Denny" Snow

Dennis K. "Denny" Snow, age 75, of Montour Falls, NY, passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 after a short battle with illness. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on October 12, 1949, the son of Thomas R. and Gwendolyn G. Snow.

Denny is predeceased by his parents, Tom and Gwen Snow. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Teena; they met in Kindergarten, dated in High School, and married on September 6, 1968. He is also survived by his children Tonya (Kevin) Rounds, and Brent (Melissa) Snow; grandchildren Taylor (Cody) Rounds-Mattison, Catherine (Kevin) LeRoux, Daniel Snow, Thomas Snow and Erin Snow; brothers, Clayton (Barbara) Snow and Kevin (Lori) Snow; along with many nieces and nephews. Denny was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren.

Denny graduated from Odessa-Montour High School in 1967. He started working at DeSarno's Body Shop in Watkins Glen, during his high school years. He started his own business, Snow's Custom Auto, in 1978. Denny's love for cars started early on, when he purchased his own car at the age of 13. From there, his passion for restoring old cars and building street rods grew. He would often say that he was "just a dumb, old body man from Montour Falls", but his cars won dozens of awards and were sold both nationally and internationally. If you have ever visited his garage, you have seen just a small portion of his awards, and pictures of all of the cars he has built over the years. He also received many trophies for racing snowmobiles in his younger days.

At Denny's request, there will not be any traditional services. The family will be hosting a celebration of life at Denny's garage in May, where people will be invited to bring their cars and have one (or two) last drinks with Denny.
