Richard W. Anderson, age 70, of Ithaca, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Richard was born in New Orleans, LA on February 8, 1954, the son of Jack R. Anderson and Lee C. Denzey.

Richard was predeceased by his parents; a brother Andrew "Andy" Anderson, and his loving wife, Megan T. Anderson, in 2014. He is survived by a daughter, Caitlin Anderson (Winston Moore) of Montreal, Quebec, Canada; sons Elliot Anderson, Ian Anderson of Seattle, WA, and Erik Aasen (Christal A. Aasen) of Union, ME; sisters Judy and Jill, both of New Orleans, LA , and sister Sandy of Corpus Christi, TX; and a grandchild, Avery Moore.

Richard graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and spent the last 14 years of his career as the Assistant Director of Dining Services at Cornell University. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, sailing on Cayuga Lake, collecting art and attending musicals.

Richard will be laid to rest alongside his mother, father and brother in New Orleans, at the convenience of his family.
