Obituary of Walter F. Hartman III

Walter F. Hartman, III, age 68, of Watkins Glen, NY passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Walter was born in Corning, NY on October 16, 1956 to Walter F. and Doris Hartman, Jr.

Walter graduated from high school in 1975 and worked at various companies, including Lakeview Apartments in Bath, NY, Mercury Aircraft in Hammondsport, NY and Walmart in Watkins Glen.

Walter will be remembered for his willingness to assist anyone who needed his help, and his love for interacting with people. He cherished his time with his family and was a very loyal caregiver to his parents. To his family, he was a super hero.

He is survived by six brothers, Glenn (Kathy) Hartman of Berkshire, NY; Gary Hartman of Fayetteville, NC; Karl Hartman or Montour Falls, NY; Ronald Hartman, Keith Hartman, and Kevin Hartman all of Corning, NY; two sisters, Sharon Hartman of Fayetteville, NC and Doreen Hartman of Montour Falls; nieces, Shannon (John) Elliot, Klena (Mike) Dagita and Cindy (Broc) VanSkiver; nephews, Joseph (Brenda) Hartman, Walter (Aimee) Hartman and Scott (Cindy) McIlwain; great-nieces and nephews, Briana, Ethan, Kaylee, Macky, Monica, Abigail, Elenor, Jacob and Genessa; in addition to many special cousins and friends. Walter was predeceased by his loving parents.

Burial will be at Hope Cemetery in Corning, NY at a later date.
