Herbert W. Arnold, 82, of Montour Falls, New York, and formerly a 30 year resident of State College, PA, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. Herb was born at Mercy Hospital in Auburn, NY on September 13, 1937, the son of the late William H. and Ruth E. (Bollinger) Arnold. He served with the Army Reserves from 1956-1963. Herb graduated from Union Springs High School in 1955, and went on to attend night school at RIT for math and photography. He was an appliance salesman at O.W. Houts & Son in State College, PA for 25 years, retiring in 2001. Herb loved music. He sang in the church choir and sang solos at church. He worked well with his hands and built things, and fixed Kirby vacuum cleaners. He loved to play the Kimble Organ, and even did this for the residents at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Hatt Arnold in 2013, and by a granddaughter, Deborah Marie McFeaters Morales in 2018. Surviving is his daughter, Kathleen M. Arnold McFeaters and her husband George "Bill" McFeaters of Avoca; son, William R. Arnold and his wife Ellen Arnold of Montour Falls; eight grandchildren, James B. (Sarah) McFeaters, Brandon Arnold, Jasmin Hescher, Isaac N. McFeaters, Darren Arnold, Arron Arnold, Matthew P. (Tara) Morales, Kaelyn Arnold; and one great grandson, Mason Truax. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 1:30 pm at Mt. Nittany Residence, 301 Rolling Ridge Dr., State College, PA. The family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 pm. Burial with military honors will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 3:00 pm in Grove Cemetery, Trumansburg, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Church, 600 N.
